Astir Food is the sum of a career of many parts: copywriting, food styling, marketing and advertising, brand development, publishing, and the culinary arts.
Food and food brands have been the consuming focus of my work for most of the last three decades, starting with more than 10 years in the restaurant industry. From there, I went on to Food Arts and Wine Spectator magazines, and eventually built a successful business as a freelance marketing consultant and copywriter specializing in food brands.
I have extensive experience with B2B and consumer companies of all types. Whole Foods, Hershey’s, Lavazza, JustBorn, Hatfield Quality Meats, Coca-Cola, Clearly Canadian, and Seagram’s are just a few of the top-name food and beverage brands with which I’ve worked. Along the way, I also opened an award-winning artisanal bakery and founded the Lehigh Valley’s first kitchen incubator.
Today, whether I’m styling food for a photo shoot or SMT, writing ad copy, or collaborating on the refinement of a new brand, my goal is to make sure that my client makes an irresistibly tempting impression on the market.
